Neighbourhood Wardens:
Neighbourhood Wardens play a vital role in keeping our communities safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone. They work closely with housing officers, Open Spaces teams, and other local services to improve shared spaces, tackle antisocial behaviour, and maintain communal areas in housing estates and tower blocks.
But they can’t do it alone. With your support, we can create a better living environment for all.
What We Do:
Our Neighbourhood Wardens are out and about every day, ensuring housing areas are well-maintained and addressing issues as they arise. Their key responsibilities include:
✔ Regular patrols and inspections – Checking housing estates, walk-ups, and tower blocks to report and act on any issues.
✔ Tackling antisocial behaviour – Investigating problems such as fly-tipping, abandoned items, and noise complaints.
✔ Minor repairs & urgent cleaning – Fixing small issues and responding swiftly to urgent cleaning needs in communal areas.
✔ Removing hazards – Clearing rubbish, graffiti, and dangerous items like syringes.
✔ Environmental care – Ensuring proper waste disposal, reporting abandoned vehicles, and maintaining shared spaces.
✔ Community engagement – Working with tenant groups, holding estate walkabouts, and keeping residents informed about ongoing improvements.
Working Together for a Better Community
We believe that a great neighbourhood is built on teamwork. That’s why we encourage residents to get involved, whether by reporting issues, joining local tenant groups, or simply looking out for each other.
We also have a dedicated cleaning team who carry out regular visits and respond to urgent cleaning requests to keep our estates looking their best.
By working together, we can make our communities cleaner, safer, and a place we’re all proud to call home.
